Nor Cal Men’s Conference

The conference will begin with a Continental Breakfast at 8:30 am at Calvary Chapel Modesto on Saturday, May 19th.  The event is free, with an onsite lunch available for purchase for $10.

The theme for the conference is Be Strong Like Men: Affirming Biblical Manhood, based on 1 Corinthians 16:13.  Flyers and posters for the conference should be made available to you in late March.

Our speakers for this conference will include:

·        Rich Chaffin – Calvary Chapel Laguna Creek

·        David Guzik – Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara

·        Don McClure – The Calvary Way

We live in the midst of a culture that works very aggressively, and often very successfully, in attacking our biblical understanding of everything.  And perhaps, with the exception of marriage and sexuality, our culture has achieved its greatest success in blurring the lines between the sexes as it redefines masculinity, manhood, and gender roles.  It fails to embrace and celebrate the necessary differences between men and women in the eyes of God.

Thus, there is a need for a reaffirming of biblical manhood, in order that we might be what God has uniquely called us to be in this fallen world.  We need to accomplish what God has uniquely called us to be as men in all of the various roles He has called us to occupy.  This includes singleness, marriage, manhood, fatherhood, and as ministers in the world, the workplace, and the church.

We are praying for the conference and anticipate a wonderful work of God’s Holy Spirit through His Word, worship, and fellowship.  We ask that you save the date (May 19th) and hope that you will be able to attend.  Please encourage the men in your fellowship to join us for a time of affirming biblical manhood, in a culture that resists their being strong like men.
